Progress and Insights Report Transport 2025


A challenging economy, geopolitical events and political shifts are not stopping companies from forging ahead with ambitious plans to operate zero emission fleets by 2030. Members of EV100, Climate Group’s global network of companies committed to full fleet electrification, advanced their plans with steady momentum over the last 12 months, according to the network’s latest Progress and Insights Report.

Charging the EV Transition - 2024 EV100 Annual Report


Over the last year, 231,000 vehicles across the EV100 network were switched to EVs, a jump of 57% from last year, while 5,000 new EV charging units came online in the last year alone, taking the global total to 35,000 units at 3,442 different locations worldwide.

Our EV100 work is not just about individual companies setting and achieving ambitious targets, though. We’re strengthening a global movement to create conditions that enable a swift switch to EVs for everyone.

Having celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2022, EV100 continues to go from strength to strength. EV100 members are now committed to transitioning 5.75 million vehicles to electric by 2030, and have already put over 400,000 EVs on the road.

Over the past year, EV100 members have continued to take action towards their commitments, by introducing EVs in new markets, rolling-out charging infrastructure and influencing policy around the world. In 2021, we welcomed 31 new members, bringing our total number of EV100 members to 121. Together, our members have transitioned over 40,000 to electric over the past year, operating over 209,000 EVs globally.As we approach the fifth anniversary of EV100, the report calls for businesses to continue turning commitments into practical action and for governments to lead from the front.

Despite a turbulent year, major companies from around the world have doubled down on their commitments and action on electric mobility. Tracking the progress of over 80 companies, EV100 members have deployed nearly 170,000 EVs and installed charging at 2,100 locations globally. As we approach the all-important COP26, the report calls for businesses to lead from the front and for every company with a fleet or company car scheme to join EV100 and commit to going 100% electric.

Our 2020 EV100 Annual Report tracks the progress of more than 60 companies as they transition to electric mobility. It shows how companies have already rolled out more than 80,000 EVs and nearly 10,000 charge points for employees and customers.

Fleet analysis


Fleets first: how accelerating fleet electrification can unlock the shift to clean road transport


Our global analysis with international sustainability consultancy SYSTEMIQ has found that fleet vehicles could be instrumental in bringing about a wider shift to clean road transport, and it’s possible for their electrification to happen on an accelerated timeframe. It would also deliver transformational benefits for our climate, health and infrastructure.

UK Electric Fleets Coalition

The UK Electric Fleets Coalition is a partnership between the Climate Group and a steering group of BT Group, LeasePlan, Lloyds Banking Group and Royal Mail, calling for policies needed to achieve the UK's 2030 internal combustion engine phase out date.
