Electric vehicle india

EV100 in India

India’s transport sector holds the key to achieving the country’s climate goals — but a fundamental transformation is essential. Over 90% of transport emissions are from road vehicles, with medium and heavy-duty freight vehicles (MHDVs) accounting for just 2% of the fleet yet contributing more than 45% of road transport emissions. By 2021, India had become the world’s sixth-largest MHDV market, with diesel remaining the dominant fuel.

EV100 brings together companies that are committed to switch their entire fleet of cars and small vans (up to 7.5t) to electric by 2030. We're also working with leading businesses, industry associations and policymakers to accelerate the transition to cleaner transportation.
