In response to the news that the Trump administration will freeze fuel efficiency standards Amy Davidsen, Executive Director, North America, The Climate Group, has said:

“We know that transportation is the single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. This rollback on fuel efficiency standards is therefore a huge threat to the planet and a backward step for the US and its auto industry.

We need to increase not just fuel efficient vehicles, but zero emission vehicles across the US – and we believe governments should work with the auto sector to make a zero-emission future a profitable reality.”

The Zero Emission Vehicle Challenge

The ZEV Challenge recently brought together states, cities and businesses together to demonstrate the huge demand for electric vehicles globally, and communicate this demand to the automotive industry. Find out more about how states are working together with business to achieve an uptake in zero emission vehicles. Organised by The Climate Group and C40.
